Admission Interviews
Interviews are not required but are strongly recommended.
Interviews allow us to get to know you better than an application alone might allow. Interviews are casual conversations that give you a chance to tell us about your interests and accomplishments, as well as your college search and interest in W&L. During the interview, students have the opportunity to ask questions one-on-one of an admission staff member.
On-campus interviews with an admission staff member and off-campus interviews with an Alumni Admissions Program (AAP) volunteer are valued equally in our admissions process. A majority of students complete their interview off-campus with an AAP member. We do not conduct Skype or phone interviews. Students may only complete one interview.
Schedule an Interview
May 1 (of junior year) - November 30 (of senior year)
Schedule your on-campus interview by calling (540) 458-8710. Allow several weeks' notice and plan to arrive fifteen minutes early. Usually, there is enough time for parents to ask questions at the end of your interview.
September 1 (of senior year) - January 31 (of senior year)
Students should contact their local Alumni Admissions representative as early as possible in fall of their senior year to schedule a meeting.
Alumni interviews are not available for international students living abroad, except in the UK and Mexico. We do not offer Skype or phone interviews. However, international applicants may participate in an interview conducted by InitialView.
