Mock Convention 2020

Your front-row seat to history

The Washington and Lee University Mock Convention is a mock presidential nominating process with more than 100 years of success. Every four years, Mock Convention attempts to predict who the party currently out of power in the White House will nominate to run for president of the United States. Distinguished by unmatched accuracy and undergraduate participation rates, Mock Convention has attracted some of the most respected names in politics to Lexington over its 112-year history.

Mock Convention is, at its core, a research project. Since the inaugural convention in 1908, Washington and Lee students have been correct in their prediction 20 times out of 26. They've been correct about the Republican Party since 1948.
